This shot was taken close to the parking lot at Emily Stevens Pond Park, just northwest of the Wilson Bridge. And for those of you who speak French, I did not make up the name of this butte. I'm told it was the old-time French trappers that were responsible for much of the local color.
There's a great light here! I can imagine how does it feel to walk on there. I love the air and the feeling of the last minutes of light on the nature like this one!
Yes, there was much drama in the sky that afternoon with the sun peeking through for only short periods. I love that kind of weather!
Beautiful scenery and composition. The eyes follow the water line and meet the snowy hill the dramatic sky stands out. Nice photowork, colors and detail are great.
Nice shot! And beautifully framed. How did you manage to order such perfect clouds for a backdrop?
More subtlety in color and light...the trees frame the mountain nicely.
I almost didn't go out as there was supposed to be complete cloud cover. Instead I found drama.
Ooooo! Wonderful feeling great light and contrasts and perfect composition!!
